At 12pm AWST / 2PM AEST GeForce NOW powered by Pentanet officially entered public beta allowing Aussie gamers a taste of the future of cloud gaming We are lucky enough to get into the beta and will be sharing our thoughts on GeForce NOW over the next few weeks as we get our gaming hours up.

GeForce NOW is in Australia!

GeForce NOW was first mentioned at the beginning of this year with the announcement that Perth internet provider Pentanet will be behind the Australian rollout. Fast forward a few months and Pentanet’s Cloud.GG dashboard was announced, allowing those excited to get playing to complete quizzes, quests, and the opportunity to win some gaming hardware.

Four months later and around 125,000 quests completed by the community, the most active users have now been let into GeForce NOW with the goal of testing, pushing its limits, and to find bugs before a full public release later this year.

There’s still time!

For those that haven’t received an email with the first round of testers earlier today there is still time! Every few days for the next few weeks the Pentanet team will be allowing new users into the beta program, specifically targeting those with certain device types, internet connections, and locations.

Pentanet has chosen to go this route as it is still collecting data on what devices, internet connections, and locations can run GeForce NOW at a playable level. From the short amount of time we have been lucky enough to use GeForce NOW it looks like GeForce NOW has a bright future in Australia.
