Microsoft has announced two new Windows 11 wallpapers in celebration of the Windows Insider program 7th anniversary. The new wallpaper is one design with a dark and a light version, adding to the default Windows 11 background nicely.
The new wallpaper takes on the Windows 11 design, with sheets of glass slightly folded up creating a fluid look with a dark outline of the new squared Windows logo. Comparing it to the current default Windows 11 wallpaper I actually prefer this one as it has toned down colours and isn’t as bright on the eyes as the other options.
October has been a big month for us. Not only did we launch Windows 11 to the world with the help of you, our Windows Insiders, we’re also celebrating our 7 year anniversary. To celebrate our anniversary this year, we are releasing special desktop backgrounds designed by the Microsoft Design Team to show off being Microsoft and Windows 11 fans! Earlier in the month, Microsoft also posted a thank you video for Insiders that have been testing out Windows 11 and sharing feedback with the team to improve it.
