Case maker JONSBO has released its latest NAS-first case, the JONSBO N3 with support for eight hard drives and a GPU while keeping it relatively compact.
The JONSBO N3 could be the ultimate ITX gaming and NAS PC in one.
JONSBO N3 features
Building on the N2 with the same design and stacked layout, which we have a review of coming soon, the JONSBO N3 features eight hard drive bays with status LEDs for each one, as well as a single 2.5″ SSD bay. The front IO features a USB A 3.0 port, a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, a headphone and mic combo jack, and a power button with a LED ring light.
Also included with the case is two fans at the rear, used to cool down the hard drives, as well as a backplane for the all the drives and a power cable extension as the power supply mounts towards the front of the case.
JONSBO N3 supports ITX motherboards, CPU coolers less than 130mm in height, as well as a GPU no longer 250 mm in length. The specs don’t mention the height or width supported, but it is slightly higher than the PCIe bracket and no more than two slots. Two more fans can be mounted at top of the rear where the motherboard is located.
Just like the N1 and N2, the N3’s HDD backplane supports two Molex connectors for power and two 4-pin fan connectors for the included two fans at the bottom. Additionally, it features a SATA power connector and a 9-pin connector.
JONSBO N3 pricing
The JONSBO N3 availability is a little over the place at the moment, with some of the usual JONSBO resellers not having it listed. That being said, the N3 is available on Amazon for US$170. US$30 more than the N1, and US$20 more than the N2.
