With the release of iOS 18, Apple has finally enabled RCS on iPhone. This move has prompted an increasing number of carriers to jump on board, providing Apple with the necessary RCS configurations.

RCS on iPhone

As a result, iPhone and Android users messaging one another can now enjoy enhanced messaging features such as high-resolution photo sharing, read receipts, typing indicators, and improved group chat functionalities.

How to check if you have RCS?

If you are currently running iOS 18 and want to find out if you have RCS capabilities, you can do so by going to Settings > Apps > Messages and there should be an RCS related section.

To check if your carrier has RCS enabled, you can check by going to Settings > About, in the Network section there will be a line called Carrier. Tapping on it will show which messaging standards your carrier supports. It will say Voice, SMS & RCS if it is supported.

Below is a current list of carriers that support RCS on iOS. These are based on user reports as they become available.
